Frederick’s Child Magazine

MaryMargaret was on the cover of the December/January issue of Frederick’s Child magazine in late 2002.  The editors were nice enough to publish an article that I wrote about Kids Are Heroes in their Oct./Nov. issue. They are big files, so I split them up in two parts: Page 1 and Page 2.

Thanks to all who braved the VERY soggy weather to come out to the FSK Mall yesterday – that includes both adult and featured heroes.  I must also thank my family, two sisters coming from opposite ends of the continent (Canada and Florida, respectively), a cousin and his wife who drove fromWaldorf in that storm, and a brother who drove from Silver Spring in the same storm.  Check out the press we received here.

The Signs are There

We took a quick visit to the mall yesterday to check out the posters and see if MaryMargaret’s poster was in front of the fountain.  We discovered that it was indeed – even had a bit of an embarrassing moment as someone we knew came by and saw us just sitting by the poster and staring at it.  Well they should just get over it since it’s not every day your child gets an opportunity like this.  Here are a couple of pictures we took:
